God is a new parent
So I’m a proud new dad. My little son Kayle, which means faithful was born on the 2oth of June 2007. Being a dad is the best thing.
When you are a new parent, you hear “new parent” stories. Stories of how your friends were rushing their first baby to the emergency room if they vomited and how with the second kid they were a little more relaxed and with the third they were… naaah, its just vomiting.
So here we were, the first weekend home with our son and he was vomiting. What we do? Rush him to the emergency room at Scottish Rite. What do you know? Babies vomit all the time. Thats what they do.
When all was settled, we got back home and fed him and I got to reflecting on how God is never complacent with us. Neither is he foolish. He is always like a new parent with us. The slightest of things has His attention. I’m not his first child, neither the second, I have billions of brothers and sisters and yet God is a new parent with me. Quick to act, concerned and not writing anything off.
